Dropped Leaf Springs

Right now my '72 C10 has a set of mismatching leaf springs which creates a leaning appearance so I want to get a new set. Has anyone installed a set of 4" drop leaf springs on a 67-72? What I'd like to know is how the ride is compared to stock vs. 4" drop leaf springs. Most of what I've seen on the board are flip kits.

I don't think I want to go as far as a 6" drop as I'd like to steer clear of having to notch the frame. That would mean a flip kit option is out. If I find I want to go lower in the future, I can always get drop shackles. I'm thinking of going with a 2.5/4 drop.

However, I did see X2Industries offer 2" drop hangers but they sure are pricey! Along with 2" drop shackles, that'll bring a stock leaf spring to 4" drop. This is the only place I've seen drop hangers for 67-72s. I don't know how these would hold up.

Just looking for some .02 cents opinions here.

Thanks,

Alex
