According to this engineer there were no safeguards built into the software so there's no reason as long as all systems are functioning properly.

I just tried to roll start the truck in the closed kmart parking lot and nothing I did notice there was yellow lock looking thing flashing in the instrument cluster and the information center started flashing battery not charging maybe it's a gremlin.
