trouble bleeding

Ok I have a odd setup done by prior owner. Truck is a 1969 which has disc brakes on the front although still runs what looks to be the original drum/drum master (same size bowls) (has power brakes) and also looks to be the drum brake brass metering valve (2 inlets, 2 outlets, no reset on the light plug). All had been working just fine untill I swapped out the front brake hoses for new as they were pretty wore looking. Now try to bleed and the pedal just goes to the floor with no resistance. (have not touched the rear yet) I have only tried to bleed the front as thet is all I had apart. I unscrewed the line for the front brakes off the lower part of the brass metering valve and....no fluid came out. Any sugestions ? I did try opeing the front bleeders 1st to gravity bleed...nothing came out. Unscrewed the hose off back of caliper and just a couple drips. I relize the master and metering were wrong although have had truck for a couple years and it was working fine.
