59 gmc needs a new carburetor and throttle linkage HELP

Okay so I am still playing with my 59 gmc it has the 270 engine and a carb that is not stock. I plan to replace the carb that is on it now but now sure with what yet. Reason being that it's missing parts and has been sitting god knows how long so I figure that is my best bet. Budget is not crazy on this swap but any ideas on what to use and why would be great. Also info on where to find the parts for the swap. Will post pic on new to break if I can find them on my phone.
