Door adjustment with new weatherstrip

I'm working on reassembling my truck after painting, and ran into a strange problem last night. When i put the weatherstrip on the passenger door frame, the door would not close! This was more than just stiff weatherstrip causing it to close hard. It is binding somewhere and the door cannot be pushed into the closed position even with the striker pin removed.

I installed the weatherstrip on the drivers door, and it works fine. The passenger door was fine with the old weatherstripping prior to paint, so I know that the body panels are OK. I did remove the doors before paint, but re installed and aligned them with the same shims I used before.

Any tips on getting the door aligned so that it will close again?
