in cab replacement tank doesn'the fit
I purchased a replacement for our in-cab fuel tank from LMC. The tank is listed as a direct replacement to the factory tank but it doesn't fit. If I set it so the brackets and fuel line all line up the filler neck is too far up and back. If I line up the filler neck, the brackets and fuel line are way off and the tank is too far towards the driver side. Turns out that our tank we are replacement is an optional over sized tank which I can not find a replacement.
Has anyone else had to deal with this? If you stuck with the replacement tanks from LMC (and others), how did you do the install? I have prototyped an adapter out of PVC that would allow me to install the tank in the original brackets and still line up the filter but before I go to the trouble of making a steel one I want to make sure I wasn't missing some easier solution.
