wcstory Registered User Join Date: Jun 2006 Location: Cape Cod, Ma. Posts: 236	1966 GMC 1 ton VIN question Just got my "new" 1966 1ton delivered yesterday. Kudos to LP Services of NY! Question on decoding the VIN plate. The VIN does not seen to follow the decoder. Maybe this would be listed as a medium duty? The plate was on the top of the drivers door GMC Truck. DD 2503 P F14434B The truck is a retired fire support truck that was probable purchased as a cab and chassis, then converted by the outfitter. It has a Redding body on it.
