The Frisco Kid

67 Suburban originally from Frisco, Texas hence the name. This is my company truck.

Originally that seafoam green color, now tan and white painted with a brush who knows when. Interior is pretty complete.

Finally got it up and running. It had overheated and had a cracked head. I found another 292 and bought it for the head. Found it was also cracked! Found a third running 292, bought it and installed the running engine. Runs good for now and stole the best bits from the other two engines.

Re-cored the original radiator. Seems cool to the touch but gauge not yet working so that repair is on the list.

New brakes including shoes, drums, hardware. Stops straight.

4 new matching tires. Made by Tornell. Hecho en Mexico. A perfect fit!

Replaced tailgate and hatch weatherstripping so it is a quieter ride and will leak a little less.
