Remove front leaf? Or not?

I am building a 48 Chevy 3100. I am doing a static lowering job. I have Posey lowering leave springs on the front. There are two of them. Can I safely remove one just leaving one to get a little lower stance? I have the room or Clarence, I'm just wondering if one single leaf would be strong enough.
Thank you in advance for any advice or comments.
