Looking for opinions on Magnaflows

Yes this is another muffler question, but kind of specific.
My current setup is a 5.3, shorty headers, 2.5" mandrel pipes, X-pipe, and 2 15x8x24 Magnaflows with dumps in from of the rear axle. I've had this setup for about a year and a half as a daily driver, and it's very nice but just too quiet for my liking. Recently just for fun I put some straight pipes in place of the mufflers, and although it sounds like a race car it's too raspy and obnoxious at times. I'm thinking about getting the same Magnaflow mufflers but either the 14" or 18" body this time instead of the 24", and I'm looking for opinions as to how much of a difference there is between them, if anyone has tried them. Thanks
