Well, that's all I can think of too. A plate would work, just be nice to avoid the extra plate. but I can't see it yet. someday a guy might want the extra height any way. I traded a alt. and a starter for this whole set up probably 45 yrs. ago. I haven't tried to hook it up since we first tried it and almost burned the garage down. I got a little better idea where the gas line goes now.
