Re: 1974 K20 4X4 7750 miles CL

All I can say is for anyone looking to buy an old brush truck, be aware of the possibility of needing serious suspension or steering (or transmission?) repairs in spite of the low mileage. Hauling several thousand pounds of water, pump, and tools over extremely rough ground under emergency conditions is tough.

We had a 1970 one-ton Power Wagon for a while. That thing was a beast in the woods (much better in most ways than modern trucks), okay on gravel roads, but an absolute terror on the highway because of the loose steering.

The bigger C50/C60 low mile fire trucks are probably near perfect because they don't get taken off road so much.
