383 stroker vs 5.3 ls

whats going on every body. im about to start building my 51 chevy 3100. im planning on doing full air ride and cant decide which route I want to take motor wise carbureted or fuel injected. ive narrowed my options down to a 383 stroker or a mildy built 5.3 ls. the truck will just be a cruiser and wont be drivin any crazy long trips maybe from Houston to Austin tops about 2.5 hours. just trying to get any input and opinions being new to the motor side of things. thanks for any suggestions - big moss
