Making a LWB into a SWB ????
Just a thought that crossed my mind. If one was to shorten a LWB 2wd frame to SWB specs, what all is involved? The actual cutting/fitting/welding would be easy for me, but I was wondering about the SWB bed fitting the 'new' frame, control arms, crossmembers, etc. I can think of: shorter brake lines and the e-brake cable, wiring, control arms, drive shaft (swap for one piece?)...... Where exactly would the section need to be removed from, and how much?
Anyone done this before? I have no intentions of chopping my 68, but I do have a couple frames I might play with.
