It all comes down to how tall of a tire you're looking for, and your wheel backspacing. I'm running air on mine now, but I had a 3.5/5 static drop before with no rubbing on 29" tall tires. I've seen guys run 4/6 drops with no rubbing on similar tires. You'll need to check your backspacing measurements to make sure you aren't too close to the outer edge of the fender, but otherwise I'm sure you'll be fine.
