Just a few things, tonight.

For starters, Merry Christmas to all. This board has been a source of knowledge, friendship, and inspiration for a long time and I appreciate all the help and advice I've gotten over the years (even if it was directed to other people).

I just so happened to take a big step forward recently; I picked up a used TBI unit for less than $50 recently - still need to source some vital components to this makeover (distibutor, harness, sort out what PCM I am going to use, etc.) but I hope to tackle this retrofit on my 84 after the holidays.

I've searched some threads made by others and found a wealth of advice, but I had a few general questions I didn't quickly find an answer to;

Is there a good source for a "bare bones" TBI harness at a decent price, or am I better off searching the local JY?

When searching for PCMs, if I try to use a factory, is there anything I need to keep an eye out for? As in, desirable part numbers vs. avoid these like the plague? This may be a lesser concern, depending how my finances look after the holidays, because I've been eyeing a decent, low-cost alternative for some time now and will likely pull the trigger and go that route in the future.

I've sourced an adapter to bolt TBI to a QJet manifold, but are there any known issues with linkage? I can't seem to find anything outright claiming any issue hooking up the 1984 linkage to a TBI. Surely, the devil is in the details.

Thanks, in advance. You guys are great.
