hei distributor for 67 c10 w/327

giving my son a hand getting his grandpas 1967 c10 back on the road. i remember my early years replacing and adjusting points and would rather have an hei. i can find a lot of info on converting the old distributor to a hei and some info on which ones to use from a junkyard. the latter is what we are interested in. can anyone give specific info on what years to use such as any 350 from 74-78. does it have to be small block specific. will any gm vehicle from certain years work. thanks for info
