So when cutting down a long bed....
Well everyone, I have successfully cut my frame on my 64 c10 longbed down to the shortbed dimensions. Reinstalled the cab, swapped in a 1977 c10 disc front end, converted to power brakes. I would rather buy the repro bedsides to make it a shortbed, but don't want to spend that amount of cash. When cutting down the bed the required dimensions, what does everyone do with the seam that runs the length of the bed, just above the trim as I have noted in my picture of my truck? After the cut and weld, is there an interruption in that seam from the weld? Also, can someone post detailed pictures of this seam after they welded, and pictures of what the inside of the bedsides look like after welding. I tried the search function and couldn't find much on this. Thanks
