Horn issue after installing new wheel & horn button

So I finally got around to installing my new steering wheel & horn button. I tried out the horn and it sounds like a sick cow. I also noticed that it seems to be drawing on the meter lights, much like it does when you have a draining battery when you try to turn the key.
What am I missing? I followed the paper instructions along with a video on youtube so I wouldn't miss any steps. I'm hoping that someone who have done this same steering wheel swap can point me in the right direction.
