K5 CST Tailgate Trim - Do You Have A CST?
I'm posting in an attempt to clarify GMs usage of the lower tailgate trim on CST model Jimmys and Blazer. Curious if only a 1972 model year feature or was present on other year CSTs or if possibly there was variation between St. Louis and Flint as regards usage.
Please post the MY of your CST, build month, and plant if possible. The factory brochure for 72 muddies the water a bit as a sort of CST appearing K5 has the lower trim but is missing the tailgate band (and badges and chrome rear bumper) is pictured together with a CST that lacks the lower tailgate trim. My March 1972 Flint CST has the lower trim as shown. Also want to plug the K5 survivor thread - anyone with survivor K5s please contribute multiple interior/exterior pictures to aid in documenting how 1st gen K5s left GM: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=584788
