Heartthrob Exhaust Clearance
Picked up a Heartthrob dual exhaust. Its part number 4143sk. Has the pipes coming out at an angle behind the back tires. Uses their offset turbo mufflers.
Here are the instructions they provided. Heartthrob Exhaust Instructions I couldn't seem to get the orientation of the mufflers as they show it. Guess I could go try but it seemed that the output pipe was going to hit the rear shock. With it flipped the other way from what they show, everything fit but the tail pipe was aimed up So I have the drivers side done. I think. I am worried that the pipe may be too close to the back tire and the rear hard brake line on the axle. I can move the entire exhaust around and it doesnt make contact with anything. I am just worried about how close it is. Here is the pic of how close it is to the rear brake hard line. Doesn't look like it will make contact with it when the axle moves up and down. I am worried about heat off the pipe messing something up. Here is my clearance to the tire. again, it wont hit. I am worried about heat. I dont think the stock hanger location is going to work for me here. I may have to move it. But for now thats where is ended up. To get the tail pipe to not come out at an upward angle, I had to turn the muffler side ways so its taller than it is wide. This made the tail pipe level but overall I am worried its too close to things. And overall, I cant slide it back any further because it will hit the bracket for the track bar. That is with the muffler in its current orientation. If I turn it so the muffler is flat, I may get a little more clearance to move it all back a little.
