LS swap radiator problems --- Any experience with Entropy?
Hello guys,
I have a 69 C10 that I put a 5.3 in. I used the Griffin Direct Fit, which is a lie, LS Swap radiator. I had to cut out the factory radiator mounts and fabricate custom mounts for this "direct fit" radiator. Within 500 miles she was leaking. I called Summit and 3 days later, no questions asked, a new radiator was at my door. I installed it, sent the bad one back, and within 200 miles the replacement is leaking in the same area. What Tha.....???? There will be no more Griffin radiators in my truck. I want to go back to a factory mount system too. This will cost me a radiator core support and some work....... Since I've done the swap and seen a few more trucks I have been seeing a few aluminum LS swap style radiators online and in person with factory type mounts. One of the brands that appears to suit the bill for an LS swap is Entropy. Does anybody have any experience or feedback on their radiators? They also offer a lifetime warranty, and Griffin is only two years. Fortunately Griffin didn't make 2 weeks and I'm still in the warranty window so I should be able to get my $$ back because Summit, so far, has provided excellent customer service. I'm just fuming mad right now because I have to replace my radiator core support that I modified to work with Griffin's sub-par product. If anyone can chime in on Entropy or other RELIABLE LS swap style radiators for my application, I am willing to research their product and consider them for a replacement to my faulty situation that currently exists. |
