Roll bar mounting
After years of trying to find a roll bar for my blazer I finally got one. Obviously after cleaning it up I'll be installing it. It's the type that the rear down tubes mount right behind the wheel well. In fact the very end of the mounting plate is turned up slightly to match the angle of the wheel well. I plan to use the mounting plates as templates to drill the holes in the bed and a backing plate. One thing I was unsure of though is how to trim the carpet around the newly installed bar in a way that looks neat? My truck is very original and nice and I don't want it to look like a hack job with fraying carpet all around. Other than having the edges bound (p.i.a.) does anyone have any ideas or know what a dealer install with this type of set up looked like? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
