402 Big block fuel pump
My pump quit suddenly the other day. No big deal, I thought, as replacements are less than $25. The problem? Installation! The pump is sitting in a little cavern surrounded by the block, frame, suspension, hoses, etc. it's barely visible let alone accessible. With a lot of effort I got the bolts loose and dropped the pump. But I could see reversing the process would be a nightmare - and it is. I finally got both bolts started, but I've used every tool in the cabinet trying to crank the bolts into the block. I've tried going from the top but that doesn't help.
Any one else been through this? Ideas?
