It can't possibly fit ! Steering Column issue

Hey gang, how in the world do I swap out the wire loom in the steering column in my 72 GMC with tilt, TH400, 402 extra long bed (it's not a longhorn, that would be Chevrolet, what do I call mine, other than extra long?).

Anyone with some steering column advice, I'd sure appreciate some ideas. Got it all apart, top of harness just hanging and can't get fitting up through to top.

Thanks in advance for your ideas. This is probably on 50 other threads already and I can't see 'em cause my eyes are shot today. CousinTone
