Question transmission kick down ?

i recently installed a 454 where a 350 used to be .
i had to use an adjustable throttle and tv cable bracket...

it needs a little adjustment so what are my options.
is there a specific distance that the clamp needs to be from the throttle for the Trans cable to work correctly...

its a th350 it just seems like it shifts too soon...

anyone know where i can get a bracket thats factory or stock..
the one from the SBC woulnt fit

oh and also, where can i get some good info on eddy carbs...like tuning changing metering rods...

i was also thinkin that i dont have enough CFM....im runnin an eddy 1406 w/elec choke. stock nothing done to it.....runnin with the air fuel mixture all the way out practically...

some tips or info would be sweet!
