Gen III vs gen IV

Help guys! I parted a 2006 silverado for builder parts, & I thought it was a gen IV engine. It is fly by wire, but the cam position sensor is at the rear of the block, like the 2000 engine in my 69. Plans are to have it bored 3mm, & build an iron LS1. I have not cracked the engine open yet, but my question .....is it a gen III, with 24 tooth crank reluctor wheel, or did they go 58 tooth on the wheel that yr? Longhorn
