Hood Emblem Pronlems

Should read HOOD EMBLEM PROBLEMS (dyslexic and can't spell either.)


Trying to attach the reproduction side hood emblems but its no go. These are the "3100" emblem for the 54 Chevy truck and are expensive. The slide on retainers seem too big to grab the emblem studs. The studs themselves seem too short to leave enough stick thru the hood to grab onto. Are there alternate ways to hold the emblems on? Starting to think everything I paid for from a big online vendor is crappola.
