Question Which dash speaker with A/C?

Mods, posted here for more eyeballs than the Audio section gets, hope it's OK.

I have searched a ton of threads, can't find quite the answer I need. Factory A/C center outlet takes up some of the space where the speaker is. Factory speaker was ~4x10 and just fits. The decades-old replacement dual speaker (which just went bad) is about the same size. Both attached with a bracket and a single screw.

Problem is, Classic Parts and Classic Car Stereos both show A/C trucks using a 5x7, and 4x10 for non A/C. Since my 4x10 just barely misses running into the center outlet, I can't see how a 5x7 could fit in the same space.

Seems like they have their listings reversed, but of course I can't talk to anyone who has actually installed a speaker and knows what I'm talking about.

My last best hope is board members here. Has anyone actually installed a 5x7 speaker in a factory A/C truck? How did you get it to fit? Did it attach with the factory-type single-screw bracket? Thanks in advance.
