Has anyone had GOOD experience with the FiTech Fuel Command Center?
I see a lot of negativity and repeat posts from a lot of the same people about problems with the FiTech Fuel Command Center. I have seen a few posts on some of those lengthy threads that said "Mines running fine" or "No problems with the FCC for me". It gets me wondering if this is a case of the negative experiences getting all the press and the positive experiences being overshadowed.
I'm only asking because in January I purchased a GoEFI 4 system for my GM 350HO and went with the Fuel Command Center for the seemingly simple solution to fuel supply. Life has gotten in the way and I have not installed the system yet. Maybe that's a good thing. Right now I am second guessing my decision and would love some feedback from anyone who has had good luck running the FCC. Did you have to do anything special to get it to work? I have heard that regulating the low pressure pump down to 4psi helps, then some say it doesn't. Some say that if there is a non-restricted return from the vent back to the tank, that it will not have any issues. There's always the debate on whether the owner with the issues had installed the FCC too close to a heat source in the engine compartment and the owner always adamantly denies that as a possibility, even if it's obviously mounted within inches of the exhaust. Any experience with the FCC unit will be appreciated.
