AC lines for 87?
Hi all. I have a few questions about my AC system on my 87 Silverado TBI 350.
1. Does anyone here know where to buy new AC lines? The ones on top that go from the compressor to the condenser. The rubber on mine looks a little worse for wear, but I'm not really sure if that matters. 2. Should I also replace the condenser? The compressor still works, but using the screwdriver trick, and placing it up to my ear, it doesn't sound good. Sounds like some rattling going on in there. I recently noticed that when I turn the AC on, there is something of a grumbling noise, that never used to be there. So I had a buddy come over that works on AC's and he said the compressor is probably on its way out. 3. Should I also replace the condenser? What all should be replaced in order to make 100% sure I don't have any future problems? I absolutely hate AC problems and I don't want to leave anything to chance. Thanks! |
