1969 GMC 2wd C20 Parts Truck no title 305 V6
For sale is a 1969 GMC 2wd 3/4 long bed PARTS truck. I bought this as a parts truck without the title
(missing hood, radiator support, grill, and most everything in regards to the front of the truck). It is also missing most of the interior, including the seat, gauges, and some electrical components. It is however a factory A/C, factory 4 speed (more on this later) 305 (E) V6 truck. The interior and exterior door handles have been removed, along with the door panels. All of the glass is in the truck and crack free including the rear slider except the driver door. Those were removed for some reason and are in the bed of the truck and are also crack free. The gas tank looks good inside and out. The body is overall in decent shape, someone has previously done some body work and with a little bit more work, it would be in great shape except the body mounts, they could use some extra work. The rear differential appears to have been upgraded to a full floating corporate 14 bolt. The tires are Goodyear 31 x 10.50 x 15's and all have great tread, however 3 of the 4 are weather checked, and the other one is nearly brand new on a newer rim. This truck is equipped with manual brakes was originally manual steering and has recently had a full true dual exhaust put on it. The engine is a GMC 305 (E) V6, the smallest of GMC's big cubic inch V6's. It is a pretty neat engine overall, unfortunately someone has been into this one, and put it back together wrong, and it was exposed to the elements and has some water sitting on some of the pistons. I believe it to be rain water as opposed to coolant and the oil in the pan looks fresh with NO water present. I spun this engine over by hand without the plugs in it, and it spins freely. It also has a newer alternator, and fuel pump just by the looks of them. I bought this truck for the transmission, its brackets, and the steering column for another project I am working on, so for now this listing is everything MINUS these things listed. If that changes I will update the listing. Originally I was going to get the engine running and then part the truck out / sell the engine, however since I have discovered water on the pistons, I want to first offer it all up for parts because I know these engines are getting harder to find. If there is no interest, then I'll pull the engine fix it, and relist at a new price. Some of the brake lines are newer, and with the other newer parts it leads me to believe this truck was running and driving not that long ago. If there is enough interest I will also part this all out. Complete engine as is $500 Rolling chassis with body no title $400 Together $800 Delivery is available at negotiable price. |
