In case your on the fence ...LS swap it..

Just a few remarks about my LQ4 swap into my 1972 K10:
My 72 ran good with the 350, but lacked a bit of power, didn't idle great when cold, and got about 12mpg.

I debated getting a new carb or going with a fi-tech system before doing the swap. Could have used a 5.3 but a 2500HD with a 6.0 was a cheaper option..($750 for whole truck) tranny was cracked so I couldn't drive it before buying it.

With the LQ4 and Turbo 350 combo has tons of power, idles great when cold, and gets 17mpg. Engine revs at 2300 at 70MPH with the 35's..It will do a heck of a burn out even with the 35's..driven it to Kelowna BC and back thru the mountains 4 times this month and it gets a lot of looks...and thumbs up constantly.

Wrapped the original 350 with all related parts in shrink wrap and if I ever sell the truck it will be included..
