New Idaho Guy
Hello,
I purchased my 1970 C10 about one year ago. It's a long bed, that maybe someday will get cut down to be a cooler, shorter version. I've got a history of running in the aircooled VW community, and other hobbies include whiskey, photography, and travel. Since getting my truck I've (with lots of help from a local shop) done a 4/6 drop using CPP stuff, installed a notch in the frame, and bagged the rear. Someday I'll figure out how bag the front. I decided to go with 15" Rallye wheels from Wheel Vintiques. The interior needs some love, but I added an aftermarket steering wheel. The dash was uncut, so that is nice. I found an original Delco radio on ebay, and put it back in the hole where a previous owner had installed a *****in' Pioneer cassette player. I had a local hot rod shop install a crate 350 from Chevy Performance (purchased from Summit Racing), did a Holley carb, aftermarket intake, and pretty much all the other "typical" aftermarket stuff. I would love to do an LSx swap, but lack the money and know how. Maybe some day. Anyway, just wanted to say hi. I'm particularly interested in meeting other Idahoans in the C10 scene. I'm looking for the "community of the hobby," as much as just other people who have trucks. Some pics: 1) The day it came home with me. 2) A more recent photo. 3) When you put a rented 18 foot ladder in the back to swap out a ceiling fan. Last edited by buspilot23; 02-09-2018 at 06:46 PM. |
