72 K25 tie rod question??

After searching the forum I still can't come up with a clear answer so hoping for a little help.
I'm rebuilding a 72 3/4 ton 4x4 pickup with my son with the hopes he learns how to work on cars and he will eventually drive it when he's old enough.

I'm unclear if the tie rod is original and if so, is the driver side end replaceable? It doesn't appear to be as it's not threaded like the passenger side but I guess it may be able to be pressed out?

So my question is this - Is the drivers side end replaceable? If not.. is the Off Road Design set up the way to go?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Attached are a few pics. Thanks!!
