How to Gain 1/2" Axle Ground Clearance w/ 12 Bolt - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hey all, so I finally got to install my 14 bolt Full Float. It's a CUCV Truck axle, TMR shave kit, ARB locker and disc brakes.

I had always wondered how the standard 12 bolt would measure up when swapping to a 14 bolt that was shaved. It turns out I actually gained a half an inch clearance with the same tires and wheel size! I can't wait to leave some rubber on the ground!!!

The 12 bolt yielded 10.5" clearance and the 14 bolt gives me 11".

Now to get the Dana 60 in...
