Question anyone willing to help me restore my 79 scottsdale??

hey everyone, i just bought a 79 scottsdale and i must admit, it needs alot of work and i don't know where to start , it has the original inline 6 cylinder engine w/ a standard 3-on-the-tree shifter, the interior is not too bad but could use some work, i want to swap the engine out for a small block 350 but i dont know where to start, i also want to put the lowest drop i can on it , airbags will come into play later when i get my paycheck , and i also want to put a new front bumper (roll pan) and a new rear roll pan on it, it is all primered but has never been painted for about 3 1/2 years, like i said, it needs alot of work, the transmission slips out of gear when in 3rd gear (very frustrating ), no power steering (i want to get power steering in it, is that possible?), and the entire dash is all cracked up and stuff , if anyone can help me or at least tell me where the best place to start is, then reply asap or send an emial to me at south_pole_04@yahoo.com
thanks,
joe
