1986 Turn signal issue
Hey Guys ! I have a 1986 Chevy Scottsdale 1/2 ton 4X4 long bed truck with a automatic transmission.
Here is what I am experiencing. With the key switch in the on position My right turn signal the lights flash as they should. Now when I turn on the left turn signal ,only my rear light comes on but does not flash and none of the front lights come on nor do they flash. If I switch the 4 way flashers on , No light flash at all. If I remove the flasher relay under the dash, then my left rear turn signal light flashes like it is supposed to but still no lights in the left front . I checked all the bulbs in the left front all are ok. I checked wire at the fuse panel engine side and no power at all light blue wire. I then went under the dash and checked that light blue wire , no power. This goes up to the steering column to the turn signal switch . I can not believe that the switch is the culprit due to the fact that the rear left light works properly and nothing on the front. Can you electrical gurus give me some pointers . Vic |
