New wheel tire combo ready to mount (skinny tires + big block)
In my thread here, http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=763360, I was looking for input to get a stock hubcap looking setup for my C10.
I tracked down some original hubcaps on Ebay, found some 15x7" wheels at Scott's Supertrucks, Alberta, and ordered the Cooper Trendsetter tires. The wheels were painted red, so I sanded the paint off, and spray painted primer, white paint, and clear coat. The tire mounting shop nicked the painted lip up during the tire installation, so I had to do some paint touch ups. I'm not going to the hassle or cost of powder coating the wheels like I've seen others do. ![]() ![]() Nothing fancy ![]() Primer ![]() Waiting for the paint to dry, went sledding in British Colombia (iPhone photos). ![]() ![]() Tires ![]() Mounted with hubcaps ![]() ![]() Can use a little polish ![]() Next, mount 'em on the truck. What a build up with no pics on the truck, eh?! I'll get them on an update with a photo.
