Shopping for a 71-72 K5 Blazer

Hey guys - I am looking for a nice Blazer K5 (not 2WD) to use Cub Scout Camping with my Son. Currently we are camping from a similarly cool 66 GMC Suburban I am regrettably going to sell to help fund the Blazer buy, and we love the burb, but we've decided we need a 4WD for some of the more off-road spots we want to go, and I have always thought a 71-72 Blazer would be the most awesome type of 4x4 to own for use in the outdoors.

I am a newbie to these trucks unlike all of you, but I have done my research enough to where "I know enough to be dangerous" as they say. Looking to spend between 10K and 20K for a solid one either in original patina'd paint or original colors repaint maybe, but needs to be more original than not because I am a bit of a purist - so no purple ones, super high jacked up, camo painted, or otherwise ruined ones. I am open to non-CST trucks with no AC, but like most of you, wish I could find the right CST. Prefer Automatic trans, but open to a nicer 4 speed. What U.S. state one is in does not matter to me because I know how to get them here from other states. No title needed in Alabama either so if you have a nice one with no title, that is no problemo

Maybe some of you have Blazers you have debated selling but just haven't, or know someone with one they haven't sold yet but would. Willing to pay up for a good one or well preserved one, without the rockers and A pillars and boxes rusting out or full of bondo. Text or call me at 256-486-1988 if you have some ideas or just want to share knowledge, or pics of yours etc. Thanks, Steve in Alabama - Roll Tide
