If you have not done so all ready, check the connections at the head lamp bulbs themselves and check the connections at the dimmer switch. That is what I would start with.
I will look at some wire diagrams I have and see what else I can think of that could be wrong. Over a year ago I had a problem on my truck with the wires going to the dimmer switch getting hot I think it was a bad factory wire crimp job or something I cant remember right now. I will have to think about it.
