Re: Quality hose clamps
Good stuff Killer Bee.
I was looking for an equivalent of your fuel clamps for 5/8" & 3/4" hose. Came up short for new ones, because the band width is 1/2" for water pump and intake ports. New ones are 3/4" wide, though the "Corvette" replacements might fit. But then I came across these. Pulled the trigger on two pair (yikes), heater and bypass hoses. They're original I'd say, looks like a thick band. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NOS-WITTEK-...72.m2749.l2649 Not right for this truck, but better than the average worm drive seems. Not sure about the 5/8" heater hose yet, maybe Wittek. I probably won't install tower clamps for any of the water hoses. My truck still had the original tower clamps for power steering, flame arrestor and fuel tank. They're still nice, so I'll probably install those. All the original water hose clamps are gone, probably for good reason.
