Loose Ball Joint on Door Mirror

I know these replacements aren't that expensive - but hey - 50 bucks is 50 bucks, right?

Just curious if anyone was aware of a work-around to keep the mirror from flopping around.

Driving me nuts, please let me know if you know a shade-tree solution or if I'm destined for the Classic Industries shopping cart page haha.

Thanks
