My old truck was used in a Hagerty Article!
I restored this truck while living in Fairbanks, Alaska. Parts were not cheap and it was much harder than restoring a vehicle in the lower 48. Kept me sane through several Fairbanks winters though. I bought the truck in the middle of winter for $1500. It had been imported up from Washington a few years before. On the way home I passed a Moose that was about 5 feet off the road to my right. Road was covered in ice so I could do nothing but, hope he didn’t cross. Good times! I brought the truck down to Washington when I got relocated for work and sold it on eBay to a dealer back east shortly after to help fund the purchase of a property. I think I got $11,000 for it and I think the dealer for $16,500 for it at Mecum. I learned quite a bit with that truck and it was my first 4x4 67-72. I can’t seem to stay away from them now. It’s the second truck in the article.
