GMC. Truck owners

My 68 K1500 had a V-6 in it . I replaced it with a 350 V-8 .

I did not realize , there are a different set of motor cross member hole’s for the V-8 ? I never thought about the difference the location would make.
Because I used the back holes instead on the front holes . I am 3 1/4 “ to far back and dizzy hits firewall.
I sure I am correct in my assumption but would like to verify my opinion with some one who owns a 68 K1500 . With an 8 rather than a V-6 .
