Question about my starter
 Hey Guys: Got a 68 C10 stepside, wondering why my starter grinds a little when I turn it over? Was worse, but got a 1000 cranking amp battery which seems to help alot. Question is I've heard that I shouldn't be using any shims. Anybody got any expert advise on this. I want to put a mini starter on when funds are more plentiful, just dumped a bunch of money in painting it. Thanks
