TH350 Vacuum Hose Hookup

Hi Everyone,

I Have a 72 C10 that was originally a 6 cylinder. I bought a 77 C10 with a 350/TH350 and swapped that combo into my 72. I noticed the TH350 has a spot to hook up a vacuum line. I have read a few threads on this, and plan to buy a brake line and put hose on each end.

I put an aftermarket Weiand intake and Holley 4 barrel carb on the 350. I have read threads that say to hook this up to the intake vacuum port. However, my brake vacuum line is hooked up to that. Some threads also say not to splice that because it should be for brakes only.

My question is should i hook the line up to a port on the carburetor? Any info will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
