Tell me about this LS engine???

I have some knowledge of LS engines. I know they are awesome!!!

I may have an opportunity to obtain a 6.0 out of a 2003 Cadillac Escalade, might take the trans also, but it's all wheel drive...

The engine has almost 400,000 miles on it. Has always run good. I have worked on it a bunch for current owner. can't stop oil leak at back of engine. I have attacked everything except the rear main and back cover, not interested on repairing those.

Anything good or bad about this particular year 6.0?
Can it be bored? how much? I am pretty sure it is an iron block...

I saw someone that made a rear adapter setup that bolts to the back of a trans like this vehicle has (all wheel drive, trans attaches to transfer case). Is an adapter made that can be purchased to use trans as 2WD?

THanks!!!
