Ignition Switch from column to dash

My 64 C10 came with a late 70's or early 80's tilt column. the ignition switch is in the column, it usually works, but sometimes it takes a couple of tries to get the starter to fire.
The column does not lock when the key is out.

The original ignition switch is still in the dash, but no wires are connected to it.
How can I rewire the original in dash ignition switch to work.
