support/carrier bearing mystery
Hello,
I am restoring a Pontiac hearse, 1947. Because it is a hearse, the prop. shaft is longer than the traditional pontiac shaft, and the hearsemaker appears to have added a support bearing that is unlike any I have found so far. However, the bearing cushion has a part number! "2015742 GMC" is printed on the cushion. This is the last part of the chassis I have to find. Can someone please tell me which cars this part normally goes to? The bearing is attached to the frame with a plate that has four bolts in it. These are insulated, two of them appear to have the rubber fused with the bolts. Does anyone know where I can find these? Someone please make my month and tell me what these things are! |
